This is a sad outcome - although not surprising given the last developments around the economical viability of VanMoof, and the attempts to gather investment.🚲 I’m proud to have been part of the ride of the company, and I still think they’re the most beautiful e-bikes out there - and will continue to ride by S3 (until I can’t).

Sadly, the economics of building a smart consumer product (with in-house hardware and software) are quite tough - and proves the difficultly of consumer hardware.Also - one word of support for everyone that has worked on building the company, the brand and the products - the fact that the economics didn’t work out doesn’t say anything about the outstanding work that you have done.

You can leave with the head up, proud of what was accomplished - I’m sure you will find some next great things to work on and take some of that VanMoof vision to your next steps in the journey 💪You will ride on!
